Service Description

The Kindergarten enrichment workshop is for children ages 5-7 years old. This parent-involved workshop uses a proven, research-based curriculum that progresses a child towards independent writing through direct instruction, guided practice and independent practice. We use a fun, hands-on approach to make handwriting a natural and automatic skill. This class also teaches how to prevent and correct letter reversals. By the end of this workshop, your child will: • Learn to recognize and name all capital letters and lowercase letters • Learn beginning, middle, and end phonemic sounds as well as sight words • Learn age-appropriate grasps for all writing, coloring and cutting utensils. • Learn age-appropriate coloring and cutting skills • Learn capital and lowercase letter formation • Learn number formation • Learn to write their name using capital and lowercase letters • Learn to legibly write sentences from memory • Enjoy independent writing Each child will receive: - A Write On! tote bag - A Letters and Numbers for Me workbook Split payment option of $125 a month is available.
